Vienna, Virginia – September 28, 2018
EIS, as the Managing Member of RS3JV, LLC, was awarded a $74.4 million, 5-year prime contract in September, 2018 to develop and deploy the Afghanistan Automated Biometric Identification System (AABIS) and Iraq Automated Biometric Identification System (IABIS) for the Project Management Office (PMO) for Department of Defense (DoD) Biometrics (PM DoD Biometrics). This contract win is the largest single task order award in EIS’ history and strategically positions RS3JV and EIS into the growing biometrics market space.
The major scope of work for the AABIS/IABIS 2.0 program consists of design, development, fielding, training, operations and maintenance, software engineering, hardware and software procurement, and sustainment of two new Information Technology (IT) systems in support of Afghanistan and Iraq biometrics operations. AABIS 2.0 will replace the existing AABIS 1.0 in Kabul, Afghanistan and IABIS will replace the Iraqi Automated Fingerprint Identification System (IAFIS) in Baghdad, Iraq.
The primary objective of the AABIS/IABIS 2.0 program is to support U.S. partner nation biometric operations by enhancing system capabilities to collect, store, match, share, and compare biometric modalities such as fingerprints, iris images, palm prints, and facial photos.
RS3JV has excellent partners on our AABIS/IABIS Program, namely Athena Sciences, Lakota Software, Integral Consulting Services, A3L Federal, and Griaule.
