Vienna, VA – September 15, 2019
Today marks a special day for EIS as we enter our 25th birthday year! These last two decades have flown by, but as they say, “The days are long, but the years are short.” EIS has overcome many challenges that have become learning and growing experiences for us all. Our company’s continued success comes from its four biggest assets: our employees and managers, our Federal Government customers, our knowledge of the Federal IT and Professional Services market, and our culture of hard work, dedication, and persistence.
Looking back at the summer of 1994, I never would have imagined that our idea for a small business would evolve into the EIS of today. Before EIS’ inception, I was employed for 20 years at SYSCON Corporation, and quite honestly, I believed that I would probably retire from there. When I was laid off from SYSCON, my wife Radha encouraged me to start—and insisted on starting—our own company. On September 15, 1994, we incorporated Enterprise Information Services, Inc. (EIS).
The last 25 years have been a remarkable journey and growth experience. From our first subcontract and first billable employee in 1995 to over 350 employees and our largest contract award with the Army Afghanistan Automatic Biometrics Identification System (AABIS) and Iraq Automatic Biometrics Identification System (IABIS), our guiding principles of honesty, integrity, persistence, and dedication to the customer have been vital to our success.
I am privileged and honored to work with each one of my employees. One cannot be in a successful business for 25 years without talented, hardworking, loyal employees and managers. I want to recognize all those employees and managers, past and present, who contributed to the foundation and the continual growth of EIS. Thank you for the excellent job you do in supporting our customers, delivering customer mission success and customer satisfaction. With the changing market conditions, accomplishing 25 years of service is a true testament of a solid organization supported by dedicated professionals. Our employees are definitely our greatest asset.
To our Federal Government customers, I want to personally thank you for the confidence you place in EIS, and in its managers and employees. We always do our very best to continue to earn your trust.
Our continued success hinges on being forward thinking. Under the leadership team of Jignesh Goda, COO, Robert Darlington, SVP, Civil, and Gary Rouse, SVP, Defense and Intel, I am very confident that EIS will continue to grow by providing more challenging opportunities for our employees.
It is my joy and the highlight of my life to work with all members of the EIS team as well as our Federal customers. I am grateful for what we have accomplished as a team and I look forward to our continued success and a rewarding future.
